Learn Spanish in Granada Nicaragua


Facilitated by GSL guides, Saturdays and/or Sundays - additional cost.
The following is an approximate list - actual offerings may vary depending on climate, time of year, etc.
Arranged and paid at the school or in advance for larger groups. - Prices vary depending on the number of students.

Trip to Volcán Mombacho. A semi-active volcano in an expansive National park with an interesting dwarf forest at the summit of the volcano.

Weekend trip to Balneario La Boquita. This is a comfortable excursion to a nice beach which offers restaurant and hospedaje service.

Weekend trip to the Isla de Ometepe on Lake Nicaragua. Boat ride to the island, overnight stay in Alta Gracia, hike around the shore of the island or up the volcano to see petroglyphs.

Trip to Parque Nacional Volcán Masaya. You can look down into the crater of this active volcano located in Masaya's beautiful national park.

Visit to Proyecto Ecológico Fundación Cocibolca located at the summit of Volcán Mombacho to see extraordinary flora and fauna and to experience the thermal springs.

Day trip to "Proyecto Nandarola" located in Nandaime. This is community development project which supports small productive cooperatives and a community health and education center.

Day trip to the Museo de Trópico Seco which has geographic models, maps, wildlife displays, videos, etc.

Day trips to La Máquina, Aguas Claras, y Fundación Pro-Salud "tourist" centers where you can enjoy waterfalls, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, and above average Nicaraguan cousine.

Weekend visits to the cities of Boaco and Juigalpa on the east side of Lake Nicaragua.
